Summary
If there’s one word Kaveh could use to describe his life, it would be “ordinary”. Sure, the start of his life looks more like a sad drama movie with the death of his father, being abandoned by his mother, then being treated like luggage as he was passed from one relative to another. But he grew up, got a job working as a corporate slave, and became self-sufficient enough to pay his rent while not starving. Currently, his job is tedious, and the only joy in his life comes from spending his evenings at home alone, designing and building little houses in the game "My Little Aranara Friend", but things could be worse!
It becomes worse in the blink of an eye. He dies. And not only is he forcefully transported into the world of "My Little Aranara Friend", but he's also stuck in the body of a mob monster called a Fungus where his only hope of getting a human body is by levelling up.
...And also by saving the Aranara from mass extinction caused by some malevolent mysterious dark power called "The Withering" that, if left unchecked, will also destroy the world.
Fuck his life.

Summary
Kaveh finds a weird book that Alhaitham owns— "Romance for Dummies", which Kaveh finds hilarious but also peculiar that Alhaitham has marked and highlighted sections in the book.
As Kaveh reads in the book and reads the annotated sections Alhaitham himself has written, and paired with some of Alhaitham's behavior, the more confused he gets. Some of these sections Alhaitham has written in feel like they apply to him, but he also feels like Alhaitham is a little more focused on him than he realized.
Kaveh slowly comes to the realization that Alhaitham's I-dislike-Kaveh nonchalant attitude is really more like I'm-obsessed-with-Kaveh-and-everything-he-does in secret. He really should be against it, really, but he can't help but like it.

Al-Haitham shrugs. “Couldn’t sleep,” he says, a book cracked open in his hands, instead of the simple truth: I missed you.
Al-Haitham and Kaveh rendezvous at midnight.

Kaveh was an idol, not an actor. Despite his lack of talent on the silver screen, his boss demands it.
Enter Alhaitham: his movies ranged from indie horror flicks to record breaking blockbusters. In short--an absolute prick. To Kaveh's growing ire, his next drama forced him to work with Alhaitham as a co-star.
Just his luck.
