Summary
In the end, it doesn’t matter. None of it fucking matters. Because what’s really in control is the tension. This elusive string tied between their chests that’s always changing length. Right now it’s so short and taught and strong that Will can’t imagine resisting it. So really, it was never a matter of if he would. Just when. When will he fold? When will he let go and let himself follow Mike into the water?
He dares to glance down at his knees, where he can see Mike’s fingers peeking out from behind his calves (as if he needed that visual reminder that they’re touching), and then back up to meet Mike’s expectant gaze.
He’s going to do it. He’s such a fucking idiot.

And Will could list every single reason he thought about and every single thing their friends pointed out but he still wouldn't be sure. Because if Mike doesn't like him back, their friendship would be over. There's too much to risk. It really isn't worth it and Will knows it.
There's a possibility, but it's not enough. Possibly is not enough. Friendship also isn't, though.

Summary
It’s been seven years since Will Byers vanished from Hawkins for the second time; seven years since he picked up his life, moved across the globe, and finally settled. He had found himself in a small town outside of Dublin with no desire to be anyplace else. He was happy. Ireland was great — beautiful sights, decent weather, and it was far. So, so far.
But when past feelings bubble from under the surface and start to poison his creative endeavors, he doesn’t think things could get any worse.
Seeing Mike Wheeler at his local grocery store quickly proves him wrong.

4. Don’t get involved in family drama,
5. Remain as professional as possible. These rules have never posed a problem for Will, until he’s hired to plan the biggest endeavor of his career: the wedding of New York Times bestselling author Mike Wheeler, his estranged best friend.
What could possibly go wrong?

Summary
“It’s a good thing,” Will reassures, and his thumb swipes over Mike’s cheek. Mike thinks he might explode. “It means you’re nice to look at. Artists would love you.”
Mike’s heart feels like it’s about to burst out of his chest. Will is still looking at him, and he swallows, throat dry. “Yeah?”
Will’s own face reddens, like he’d just thought about what he said. “Yeah,” he answers, and Mike grins.Living in a shared apartment with Will is all Mike could ask for, except for the part where he keeps thinking about kissing Will in the middle of their kitchen.
