“You stopped buying those amulets? What’s up with you? Are you sick?” She reached up to touch Mizuki’s forehead, sweeping away his bangs to press the back of her head against it.
Mizuki jolted, heat gathering in his face. At that moment, he had never been so grateful for his mask. Still, he put on a facade, not wanting to give his affection away so easily.
“Aw, you really do care about me.” He teased, reaching out to lightly flick Kiriko’s forehead once the Yokai had deemed her assessment sufficient.
“You flatter yourself,” Kiriko rolled her eyes. Mizuki couldn’t help but stare at her lips, which had settled into a slight pout. “Care to explain what just happened?”
“I mean, he’s right. I haven’t been buying the charms lately. Crazy, I know.”
She looked at him like he had just grown an extra head.
Mizuki finds a new lucky charm.
