Summary
After Ruelle's village is burned down by a dragon from the Tivairis Empire with them as the only survivor, they make the trek to Veodour to assist a family friend with her apothecary. Upon arriving in Veodour, they are startled by Veodour's guardian dragon, Ruvre, who falls in love with them instantly. Ruelle's hesitant to trust him, but he wins them over eventually with his warmth and kindness.
However, Ruvre's attachment to them proves quite useful to the ruler of the Tivairis Empire, Janus. He's been trying for ages to conquer Veodour. With such an easily exploitable weakness, who is he to waste his chance to destroy Veodour's greatest asset? And if he has a little fun with said weakness, who is going to stop him?
A tale of political intrigue, psychological manipulation, and toxic romance between a human and their dragons.

It’s going to be a long three days.
Or: Instead of facing the Monstrous Nightmare in the Kill Ring, Hiccup packs up and leaves Berk on Toothless, defeating the Red Death on his own as he goes. Six years later, Hiccup has royally fucked up– Hiccup has severely underestimated Drago, and now Hiccup is cramped, tired, hungry, without his prosthetic, and he really, really, really misses Toothless.
Imagine his surprise (read: complete and utter dread) when he wakes up one day to see absolutely none other than Astrid Hofferson, Snotlout Jorgenson, Fishlegs Ingerman, and Ruffnut and Tuffnut Thorston sitting in the cell across from him.
