Summary
When Zelda was seven, she was thrown headfirst into training to wield the holy power of Hylia, manifest in her on the mortal plane, bereft of the guidance of any ancestors. On long days of meditation and prayer she cursed the Calamity. In her smaller and meaner moments, she cursed her father, and in her darkest and guiltiest moments, her mother.
When she was twelve she learned that yet another indignity could be visited upon her: she was assigned a lady-in-waiting, the captain of the guard’s eldest daughter.

Summary
Purah had always been a bit…much for Zelda. In the past, Zelda had been much closer to her sister, Impa. Despite being close in age, Impa and Purah had been so different from one another—Impa traditional and disciplined, Purah wild and modern. Impa often visited the castle between training to be the Sheikah chief; Purah stayed holed up in her lab across the west river. Since Zelda had settled down in the little house in Hateno, however, she had found herself in the reverse situation.

Summary
Link had not seen his mother since he was a child. In his memory, she was leaning over him, straightening his hair before Link and his father set off for Castle Town. Standing in the doorway of his childhood home, he realized they were of a height.
After the events of Age of Calamity, Link visits his family.

There was a Hylian girl on Revali’s Landing. Tulin didn’t recognize her, and she didn’t have the large, overstuffed pack of a traveling merchant. She wasn’t acting like a merchant or a tourist, either—she was crawling near the village-side railing.
On a peaceful day after the Calamity's defeat, Tulin meets Zelda.

Summary
Although Link officially lived with Zelda in the small house in Hateno, her in the loft and him tucked under the stairs, they had spent much of the past year helping with the rebuilding of Hyrule. That, and Zelda’s deeply-ingrained courtly manners, Link figured, was how it had taken this long for them to see each other naked.
