Summary
Taylor Hebert has no corona potentia. The MRI confirmed it when she was hospitalized. Which means she has no business being able to move objects with her mind or reading the emotional residue off whatever she touched.
Victoria Dallon, cape nerd and keeper of Taylor's impossible secret, has appointed herself chief researcher into whatever Taylor actually is — which is how they end up alone in a classroom after school, deep into an arrangement that is definitely, strictly scientific. It would probably stay that way, if Taylor hadn't reached a little too far during a reading and heard something she was never supposed to hear.
