Summary
"Can you see from this eye?" she asked tentatively, hoping not to spook him. Zuko cleared his throat before answering her. "A little. Mostly just shapes and light."
Toph smiled when she heard that, which caused Zuko to furrow his eyebrow. "What? What are you so happy about?" he questioned, nearly defensive. "You're blind."Or
Toph learns Zuko has a scar, then learns he's half blind, and then proceeds to teach him how to use his bending like she does to compensate for the blindness (half blindness).Bookmarked by WormWatcher

Summary
“How can we trust you to teach Aang anything when you clearly can't control your flames?!”
Irritation flashes across Zuko’s face. He wants to say something, but Katara doesn't give him the chance.
“You burned Toph right after you announced that you were on our side! You burned down Kyoshi Island! Not to mention what you did to yourself–!”
Zuko raises his hand.
“Wait,” he says, frowning. “You think that my scar was caused by… some kind of training accident and that I did it to myself?”
Or: Katara has doubts about Aang's new firebending teacher. After all, Zuko’s fire has already hurt too many — including himself.
