He blinked, then stared at the reflection again. He leaned closer to the mirror, desperately inspecting the unfamiliar features that is staring back at him. His trembling fingers reached up to touch the face in front of him—his face… except it wasn’t.
W-what… what is this?!
He touched his cheek, the line of his jaw, ran a hand through the hair that wasn’t his own. Every detail was foreign. Panic surged in him, thoughts spiraling as he tried to piece together the impossible.
This isn't me.
This isn’t my face.
This isn’t my body!
What kind of black magic… or curse… or nightmare is this?
He staggered back from the mirror, mind racing with questions he couldn’t begin to answer.
How could this be happening?
