I've never known a story could be written entirely in a passive voice, color me impressed. As impressed as Aizawa might've been, a faint raise of the eyebrow, given the passivity aforementioned.
Okay to summarize, there's one strong good thing about this fic, and a bjillion critiques. The one good? The research. By god the author researched everything almost to an absurd degree, but I highly appreciate it. It so rarely happens someone actually researches especially when it comes to japanese culture that I can't help but be delighted by it or at least appreciate it.
The story is about katsuki, though Ochako gets thought about sometimes and brought up (by katsuki or the author) but she's so overlooked and unappreciated that this fic is undoubtedly written by a man, or a conservative woman (someone who'd been fed the ideas of a man)
1- ochako almost died after they broke up, and he realized 'oh no he can't live without her and life is too short'
2- they get married super young because the 1st point resulting in ochako losing popularity and being scrutinized while he becomes more favored.
3- unplanned pregnancy which makes ochako unable to do hero work, fall in ranks, grow self-conscious about her body. But ofcourse we're focused on katsuki and how he feels. Is he able to be a pro hero and be a dad?
4- -Katsuki's endless stupidity: a chronicle.
5- Katsuki is never present and never asks, Ochako feels like shit and Deku comes at just the right time to ask if she'd take a job that acknowledges her worth, because he's a good guy and friend.
6- Katsuki is a fucking self centered asshole who takes the shitty rumors, kinda accuses Ochako of cheating and they fight.
7- ochako feels 'guilty' and 'awful' (fucking why?) and Katsuki stays at Kirishima's place like a coward
8- they make up (again) and oh he will be better bla bla bla
9-Ochako gets in the top 20!! But oh no Katsuki gone down a rank so we don't even celebrate her because it's all about his ass.
10- Katsuki proceeds to make another dumb fucking decision by pursuing a high risk villain, stuns todoroki who had tried to stop him, almost dies and gets saved by todoroki and gets hospitalized.
11- ofc Ochako feels guilty! Because she should've pushed him to tell her what was wrong. Not that he's a grown ass man with enough experience and a family and he should've been thinking better.
12- Deku is amazing, saves his reputation and helps his family out
13- THE ONLY CORRECT PROCEDURE: his licence gets provoked, he gets fired, but he can reapply for his license.
14- ugh what a pain he'll have to work hard to get his license back and get to the top 10.
15- Aizawa offers him a position in the SAT (that he's not mature enough for)
16- he gets his license back and takes the job
17- stays out of the leader position long enough to -oh look at that- become number 1 for a month, before taking the position and disappearing from the charts.
18- they have two more kids now, one was another accident and ofc we won't say what happened to Uraraka in all of that
19- but now we're celebrating the top heros and ofc how can we not end it but by making it about unsung heros (which would be fine but in this case-) BAKUGOU ofc! Deku hands him his own medal, cause he's no#1Cue applause? No. Unsung heroes are those who do their work without praise or appreciation, everything that idiot had done was about being appreciated and in the limelight. He never learns his lessons. The hard road, the one he decided to take, is about taking two hard things and making them work; being pro hero and having a relationship. He sucked at both, frankly. He was too busy with work to be a good partner, and weighed by a relationship to be an amazing pro hero.
This story should've been the sacrifices and compromises one makes. Which is more important? Why is it important? How could you make them work? He was neglectful. Deku deserves the title and position because he gave up everything for it. Dedicated a life for it. And was still humble. The unsung hero is Ochako, who almost died, fallen from the ranks to be married, struggled when pregnant, yet still managed to be an amazing hero, supportive wife and mother of 3.

Then, his mind snaps back into place, and Shouto shakes his head, pulling his hand from her grip. “No, no, no—that’s a terrible idea. No one would believe us. Literally, no one.”
She grabs at his hand again, this time, with more resolve. “It’s not a terrible idea! Look, if we fake date each other, it’s a win-win situation—”
To you, he thinks bitterly, Katsuki will literally commit homicide.
