Summary
Head detective Zhuo Yichen of the Tiandu Homicide Unit is dealing with a serial killer. A week of no leads has the Mayor and Captain Fan Ying breathing down his neck. He isn't sure what else there is to check until Ying Lei sends him a link to read a webnovel. At first, he isn't interested until he realizes the cases in the webnovel are similar to his own. Now he's dealing with a serial killer stalker. And if that isn't bad enough, once he catches up to the killer, he's killed. Just like that and suddenly, Yichen is waking up in a whole different world inside a novel as a minor villain with a quest to save the hero protagonist, Zhao Yuanzhou, from turning into a villain.
But before that, he's got to save himself from getting killed by the protagonist first!
