Due to societal pressure (and an unfortunate friendship with Ianthe), Harrow ends up accompanying her girlfriend to the stupid birthday party the twins are throwing. One too many drinks and an idiotic, dare-related midnight walk on the roof later, she finds herself in the hospital.
While Harrow struggles to cope with her vulnerability being on display for everyone to see, injury-prone Gideon doesn’t take being on the flip side of that particular story very well.

Summary
“I’m Enid Sinclair,” the girl says, and holds her hand out in a firm motion, asking to be shook. Wednesday keeps her eyes on the girl, Enid, for a second longer before focusing back on her typing, ignoring the hand being offered. After a few moments of silence, Enid drops it.
“Is that supposed to mean something to me?” she bites, squinting just a little when Enid makes no move to leave. The girl is so bright, face and hair more colorful than the flowers she keeps. It’s almost nauseating.
“I heard you were hiring,” Enid says, still confident. “I’m here for the job.”
Wednesday’s fingers slip, and the typewriter prints a line of jumbled letters. Her head snaps up at the girl, watching her cheery smile drop to something more anxious when Wednesday does nothing but stare angrily. She looks back at the paper, scanning the line she just messed up:
