Summary
Zhou Zishu came into this marriage expecting a monster because that's what the taizi told him. But so far this prince has not been that. He hasn't strangled Zhou Zishu in his sleep. He hasn't even cursed him even though he's clearly unhappy about the arrangement. And Zhou Zishu isn't afraid of monsters, he has faced them all. This prince just doesn't feel like one.
In which Wen Kexing and Zhou Zishu fall into a marriage, Jin Wang wants to be the emperor, the emperor is oblivious, and Beiyuan is far away.

Di Feisheng took Li Lianhua’s chin in his hand. He stared at the dark mirrors of himself in the black of Li Xiangyi’s eyes.
“My heart stopped after our battle on the East Sea; my Bitterwind Poplar fought to restart it. I know what death feels like. It’s cold. It’s excruciating. You won’t get to feel the bliss you take from getting fucked when you die. Don’t succumb to death as easily as you succumb to me, Xiangyi.”
Li Lianhua stared at him for a beat, dazed. Then, he laughed. “Lao-Di, ah, don’t think that your jade pillar will save me.”

“Stupid,” Zhou Zishu breaths out. He is panting; they both are. They are both stripped of outer layers of their clothing, hair dripping with water, smelling like the lake, and sweat, and blood. A shadow of something passes through Zhou Zishu’s face, disappears. He returns Wen Kexing’s gaze steadily, not displeased, not quite amused. Watching him. Wen Kexing is suddenly very aware of every place where their bodies are and are not touching.
“Ah,” he says slowly, delighting in the attention. He shifts his weight forward, puts his hands on both sides of Zhou Zishu’s head, brings their faces closer. “I caught you.”

Summary
The man’s muted blue robes pool around his folded legs. Candlelight spills onto his skin, golden trails that light up his bloodied neck, making the smooth curves of it gleam. A heartbeat, then two, the man’s slow pulse driving blood sluggishly out of his wound, and Wen Kexing feels a rising tide of desire to see the man even more undone, and then realises that he can. He reaches out to tug the expensive-looking silver hairpin from the man's hair, and it tumbles down around his shoulders like a waterfall, sleek and inky. Detachedly, Wen Kexing notes the way heat goes to his groin.
There is a near-imperceptible rustle from beyond the room, at one of the eavesdropping spots the ghosts are so fond of. Wen Kexing smiles.
Or, rather than pulling the nails from his body after seeing Wen Kexing’s body burn, Zhou Zishu figures out a way to travel back in time, and goes to Ghost Valley to find his zhiji. He finds a youth, instead.

Summary
Everyone in the room froze. In the seconds that passed, Gu Xiang saw that their position was also dawning on Cao-ge, late as would be expected of an idiot like him.
She would like to pay attention to the way the blush seemed to spread over his face, the way it crawled from his cheeks to his ears and neck. However, there was another person in the room that she needed to pay attention to.
Master wasn’t moving, taking in the scene with an expression that was far too calm.
His face had smoothed out. His eyes lost that shine she had so seldom seen before, but nowadays was visible so often that she almost could start taking it for granted. Now, that silent wonder and contentment was bleeding away, leaving nothing but granite and ashes.
Something snapped.
A misunderstanding occurs and someone gets thrown through a wall.
Featuring Wen Kexing, who is getting really sick and tired of his emotional breakdowns.
