Summary
Esteban, the only child, unfortunate Omega, and heir of the Ocon estate, finds himself engaged to an Alpha he has never met before by the name of Max Verstappen. He also finds himself in the company of Fernando Alonso, a gruff and crude Alpha who was tasked by Esteban’s mate-to-be to ensure his safe voyage across the world.
Only one of those things seems to be somewhat of an issue.

Summary
Max is trying to write his dissertation for his master's degree in Maritime History, the biggest downside to this isn't the lack of sleep, or the long days spent in the library trying to get his research done. No, it's definitely Lewis, who is working on his own dissertation and who always seems to be in Max's way.
Everything is going perfectly fine (if you ignore the building up caffeine addiction, his wrecked social life, and the weird dreams that seem to plague him every time he closes his eyes.)

Daniel knows he’s about to do something exceptionally stupid. He knows himself well enough by now to know the signs of a Ricciardo-approved ludicrous decision. There’s the familiar buildup inside his chest, the tingle in the back of his throat. It all happens within a split second, and just because he’s aware of the fact that he’s about to do something uncalled-for, that doesn’t mean that he’s strong enough to stop it.

Lance plops a grape into his mouth, leans back to rest his head against the rusted classic Fiat 124 from the seventies. “Truth or dare.” his eyes sparkle with mischief as he glances over at his friend, cheeks a shade of pink from both the wine and the heat blown into their direction by the small heater they’d dragged out. “Come on, Este. Indulge me, it’s been a hard year.”

A second passes when Max reaches the top. He hasn’t moved yet, Daniel thinks that no one in the audience has either. He can see the tip of the other’s toes when they flex, he knows Max is readying himself for something. Can feel the swell of suspense among the viewers, they’re all watching him.
Max falls backwards, and someone else screams.
(Or a circus AU in which Max is an aerial artist, and Daniel is looking for a way to run away.)

He thinks about making coffee first thing in the morning, thinks about how the good cups he has at home would perfectly fit between the palms of the other’s hands, how he could probably make Charles rise with the smell of freshly baked bread alone. Thinks about how he wouldn’t mind the age difference between the two of them, as long as it would mean that he could see Charles sitting as casually as he is right now in his private kitchen.
How he’d always make sure to keep dark chocolate in the apartment, because he knows it’s Charles’ favourite, and how Charles is his favourite thing in this entire world.

Somewhere between engine changes and rear wing restrictions, they had found the time to re-write the rulebook to include a congratulatory kiss among those who step onto the podium to accept fame and glory. A weak attempt to soften the harsh edges of the sport, to smooth out the taste of violence resting on the back of many tongues.
