But she silenced him with one harsh look, which made him shrink back. His nerves were slowly eating him alive as she walked away, taking the shoes to the checkout counter. Leaving Robert alone to slip on his laceless dress shoes. So, what if Mecha man only wore shoes with Velcro, or zippers, or slip-ons. No one would ever know he couldn’t tie his shoes.

The way his hands and feet would change a bright shade of blue with sharp, dark blue claws whenever he’d enter the ocean. How his teeth would sharpen, and his ears would shift to fins as well. His lean, beautiful swimmer's body allowed him to cut through water like a knife. All the cute little traits Chad had always assumed were just a side effect of his powers, not his heritage.
