    No one knows Spider-Man is an Omega. Not the newspapers, not the NYPD, and certainly not the overly loud, definitely obnoxious, sort-of-a-good-guy, completely Alpha, Deadpool.
    And Peter would like it to stay that way.
    But when he drops into an unexpected heat, Deadpool is the only person he can call to help, and how quickly the Alpha switches from shouting dirty innuendos to whispering comforting things really throws Peter for a loop.
    After sharing a heat, Peter is convinced that Wade is his Alpha, and is ready to take him as his mate, but Wade rejects him.
    Wade knows that a man like him wouldn’t make anyone a good mate, much less a perfect, pretty Omega like Peter. So he says no, pushes the Omega away and unable to even work together anymore, they go their separate ways.
    Peter is devastated, heartbroken, seeking comfort in the arms of another Alpha, and all Wade can do is watch from a distance, and keep telling himself that he is doing the right thing, sparing Peter a life of disappointment and pain. Peter deserves better than him as a Mate, and one day Peter will understand.
    It’s Better This Way.
    But is it really?

    Peter Parker isn’t Spider-Man anymore. No, he left his suit and that life behind after Gwen, Harry and everything else went wrong. He packed his bag and took off, looking for someplace where he won’t see Gwen’s ghost on every corner, someplace where he won’t have nightmares every night.
    Wade Wilson isn’t Deadpool anymore. No, he told a client to fuck off when he’d been sent to end someone who… didn’t deserve it So he left, packed his bag and headed for a place where the voices in his head don’t scream at him, where he can find some peace.
    When Omega Peter ends up in Alpha Wade’s life, Wade tells him to keep his distance, not to ask about his scars, and to not bother him with his heat. Their arrangement works, each of them living with their own secrets, orbiting around each other but not to each other, until the Alpha starts staring a little too much, and the Omega starts needing some company.
    Wade’s past catches up with him unexpectedly and Peter has to come to terms with the Deadpool side of his Alpha and it nearly tears them apart. But Peter still has a secret of his own. And he isn’t sure how Wade will react to that at all.

    Wade is a has-been rockstar who hasn't put out decent music in ages, drinking and partying his days away and avoiding the public eye.
    Peter is a reporter who wants to write an article on the singer who had once been so great, but breaking through Wade's attitude and isn't going to be easy.
    Through the months that follow, interview after interview, Wade's story comes out in bits and pieces and the singer who once was only Scarred and Broken, finds a way to Transpose his story into something beautiful.

    “I just barely got Cerebus trained to be vicious again." Wade protested. "You’re going to ruin them!”

    “Oh no, not a vicious Cerebus!” Peter gasped in mock horror, then tipped his head back and whistled, and in the distance, Cerebus answered with an excited howl.

    “And um, if you’re going to stay, you’ll need a throne.” Wade said next and Peter’s eyes crinkled when he grinned. “Unfortunately there isn’t room for a second one in here so…”

    “So, I suppose I’ll have to sit on your lap.” Peter said solemnly. “Any other complaints, oh guardian of the Underworld?”

    “I thought I’d lost you.” Wade’s voice cracked then and Peter magicked a pomegranate blossom out of thin air and into his palm, dusting the petals over Wade’s lips.

    “Never, my love. Never.”
