Izuku watched, pale and shaking as his mother, his family, ambled awkwardly through the forest trees towards the group closing in on them. He closed his eyes, pulling the shadows of the night around him as her screams echoed through the silence.
He knew where he would be safe, where he'd be able to find someone to help him. He wouldn't make his mother's death be in vain. His father would get the justice he deserved along with the rest of the population that All For One had killed.
He would not fail.
