Phil couldn’t turn away, not when the chances of both of the boys being sent to a bad home was so high. He couldn’t look at this eleven year old boy, the one with the fiery blue eyes, and take him from his brother. How could he look at Wilbur who was sixteen and he did best in history and music and turn him down? He couldn’t send either of them away, let alone separate them.
They weren’t just two kids in the system anymore. They weren’t just names in the pile of thousands. Phil had seen them. He’d seen their faces, the homes they'd been too, the people they were. He’d seen them and he knew so much about them. It wasn't just an idea anymore, these boys were real.

Summary
Dream's visit to Techno's cabin shakes Tommy to his core. He doesn't want anyone to get hurt anymore. So he runs again, but this time he isn't running anywhere he knows.
He expects Dream to catch him immediately...but he doesn't. He expects to be gone a very limited amount of time, not five years. He expects to be alone, not to have pseudo-adopted four children of varying temperments.
TLDR; TommyInnit speedruns Dadza's life in five years, which is probably record time. Watch out Dream, there's a new speedrunner in town.

Summary
It was temporary. Tommy had gotten in so much trouble with the past few houses, and this was the last straw. They were going to send him to the worst place (after all, only the worst of the worst would be able to put up with him).
He knew it wasn't going to be forever. He knew he should never get attached.
There was just something about those three, and he couldn't help but want to stay.
