“Have you… ever kissed anyone, Volo?” She looks up at him with wide eyes that betray a sense of innocence without hiding the subtle eagerness in her tone.
Volo clears his throat. “I have. You shouldn’t have to worry. Even the inexperienced have their charm! You’ll learn the more you do it.”
Akari glances away for only a moment, then riskily, she leans into him. Slowly closing the gap between them, the pressure in the air that still separates them quickly becomes thick and heavy. She locks onto him with an unfamiliar hunger guiding her, and in the haze moments before she speaks, he swears he can hear the thrum of both their pulses beating together.
“Would you teach me then?”
Volo teachers his favorite customer how to kiss.
