Bobby gives her a hard stare. “Rumi, you can tell me the truth.”
She shakes her head, brows furrowed and lips parted—like a plea. “No, I’m serious.” It comes out punctuated with the hope that he’s picking up what she’s putting down because she knows he’s not stupid. “I am literally not dating him.”
Jinu tells the world that he and Rumi are dating. The news comes as a surprise to many—including Rumi.

Summary
Jinu barely gets in a stuttered goodbye before she shuts the door behind her, completely disappearing from his line of sight. After she goes it’s like she never existed—and suddenly he’s standing in front of a box that becomes a wall, and inside a forest that’s lost its voice.
All he’s left with is her fleeting image, soft and aching and open, and a dreadful sinking feeling, like this is more than what he’s just done; like this whole thing means something to him.
Like he wants it to mean something.
Jinu doesn't believe in fate until he meets a woman whose song sounds like home.
