Jake is an actual dog. He’s a golden retriever. He’s known nothing but the streets all his life. One day, after he ran into an alleyway to hide from the animal control, he comes across a man (Jay). Jay tries to coax him out. Getting down on his knees, holding his hand out, palm up to show he’s not threatening in any way. Jake’s hesitant at first, but slowly he walks closer to him. Still weary, but Jay’s patient and kind.
Jay starts coming around almost every day, whether to give Jake food or gain his trust. Eventually, it happens. Jake finally walked up to him, on his own.
