Ricky feels like he lives a double life.
Sometimes Ricky feels like he’s lying to them and lying to himself, playing up a person he really is not. He loves them all greatly, that much he can admit to himself. But it’s like there is a conflict within him, where pre-Korea Ricky and post-Korea Ricky cannot come to a balance. Who was he before he found his passion in performing? Who is he now? Is ZB1 Ricky the real Ricky? He views his past as a dark shadow, something he would never want to revisit. It’s complicated and the shadows fall too dark at some points in time, memories that he wishes he could erase altogether. But those shadows come up and haunt him still.

liming was really fucking concerned right now. his roommate had been sleeping since three am last night. it was now six pm. he had already tried waking him up by yelling, and he didn't budge. he didn’t want to anger his roommate more than he had already done at their first meeting, but liming was seriously wondering if his roommate died in his sleep. the last thing he wanted was to be at the center of campus news for being the witness to his roommate's death. so, he chose the next most logical option and swung a pillow at him with probably way more force than necessary.

Taehyung stands at the register and listens to the tinny cover of some American pop song from a few years ago, and he waits, hoping the receipt printer isn’t going to up and break again as soon as he rings up whatever the person is here to buy. He gets lost in thought, his overactive imagination playing out a scene where the customer is really cute and sweet yet shockingly single, and they come up to the register all sleepy and late-night clumsy, and they giggle sweetly when Taehyung can’t get their receipt to print—
“Um,” a soft voice says, and then nothing else, the syllable hanging in the air like the person uttering the sound is scared to have said it. “Uh, I’m looking for an X-ACTO knife?”
(or: Jimin goes to a convenience store in the middle of the night to buy razor blades. Taehyung is the cashier who gets him to eat mangoes instead.)
