He tried to remember the last few moments of his interaction with Reo to find out what had caused his current state, but it all seemed pretty normal to him. The only thing out of the ordinary had been Reo’s nickname for him, and, even then, it’s not like it was uncommon for Reo to call him something other than his name. He did it all the time, called Seishiro ‘good boy,’ and ‘genius,’ and ‘partner.’
But Reo had never called him his ‘treasure’ before.

Summary
He's seen Nagi make all kinds of faces. A frown as his default expression, a grimace when he comes across something he dislikes, a pout when Reo nags him too much, a sulk every time he's dragged to practice; none of which ever resemble a smile in the slightest.
So that is how Mikage Reo comes to the new found goal of making Nagi Seishiro smile. He will stop at nothing to see this task complete. What Mikage Reo wants, Mikage Reo gets, after all.

The Snork Maiden was just beginning to whistle when she heard a little twig snapping. As fast as she could, she wheeled around, but her stalker was faster still, and ducked out of sight.
Well, the Snork Maiden was frightened, but she was also beginning to get very angry. Whoever was stalking her had scared her and made her look very stupid in front of her brother, and she couldn't abide it much longer.
“Whoever you are, I know you're there!” she said, plucking up all the courage she had. “Now I won’t have you hiding and watching me, so you might as well come out!”
She waited with great tension, expecting some bright-eyed ghoulish lizard to lumber out, or some staring groke or other nasty creature. Imagine her surprise instead when a little round snufkin stepped out, holding something bundled in his arms. He had a pointed green hat, befitting a snufkin, with a lot of lilies clinging to it in an accidental-looking way. He wore a striped dress buttoned at the back, with a neckerchief tied at the collar.

Nagi looks him square in the eye as he answers, “…I want you, Reo.”
Reo tilts his head and blinks. Knowing Nagi, he probably means ‘I’m too lazy to think of an answer, so I want you to think of the gift instead, Reo’, or something similar, but is just too lazy to complete his sentence. But, it’s alright. Reo understands him well, after all.
[or: Reo’s oblivious, so he misunderstands what Nagi wants as a birthday gift, but things work out anyway.]
