    One year after Voldemort killed Lily and James Potter, Severus Snape pays a visit to Number 4 Privet Drive. He has a duty to Lily Evans, the best friend he ever had, and therefore to her son and her sister. He finds himself assuming the role of the child's uncle. As it happens, the friendship between Severus Snape and Petunia Dursley changes both of them, both of their lives, Hogwarts, and their world's future for the better. (It's so much easier to be a good person when you're not clinically depressed, afraid for your family, or stuck in your past trauma).

    This is a lengthy story meandering through Harry's childhood, with eventual plans to see it through his Hogwarts years and a very different resolution to canon. But in the meantime, the goal is cuteness and exploring a world with better-adjusted adults in it.

    The battle of Hogwarts is over and Hermione Granger is ready to take a well-deserved break when she is suddenly flung back in time. She promptly gives a much younger Dumbledore all the information he could possibly need to locate and destroy the horcruxes, and kindly declines all requests for further assistance. She hasn’t even completed her N.E.W.T.s yet! She is soon attending classes alongside Harry’s parents and the Marauders yet feeling very alone. She can’t tell anyone the truth of herself, or can she?
    Perhaps it would be safe to confide in someone with a natural talent for Occlumency, an accomplished liar who could spy for both sides but would ultimately be on the side of light? Yet this Severus Snape is not the accomplished Potions Master she once knew and trusted. She decides to strike a deal with him, and they come to an accord, secrecy for each of them, Occlumency lessons for her, and revenge against the Marauders for him. Hermione supposes revenge isn’t a very heroic, Gryffindor thing to do but she has always been good at making plans, and really, if the school administration won’t punish a bunch of bullies then taking it into their own hands is only practical.

    Hermione Granger knew about time-travel and time-turners as a third year. When everything goes wrong at the Battle of Hogwarts, and nearly everyone she loves dies, Hermione discovers that not only is time-travel possible within her world but across worlds as well.

    Suddenly thrown back to 1978 and into a world that is no longer her own, Hermione has a chance to rewrite history, because while terrible things happen to Witches and Wizards who mess with time, she doesn't think that applies to a Universe where she never existed in the first place.

    Never one to back down from a fight, Hermione is going to make this new world a better place. She's going to take down Voldemort, avoid an ever Manipulative Dumbledore, and she's going to do so alongside an equally war-battered George Weasley and Draco Malfoy, and maybe with the help of a young Severus Snape.
