Summary
I've recently started playing ffxv (haven't finished it yet and I'm very scared to) and I've developed a hyperfixation on noct, I love him so much!!
And nothing helps better with a hyperfixation than reading through copious amounts of fanfiction which is what I've been doing.
Now I'm not really a writer but I am an illustrator and I wanted to post a little something here, both for nocts' birthday and also as a thank you to every fanfic writer bc you all make my hyperfixation so much more bearable, i love you all!!

hello! from your requests i can tell you were hoping for a writer to be assigned to you. So i do hope it's not too disappointing that you got an illustrator instead!
i decided to go for your cynonari request!
i thought it would be cute showing them in the Akademiya's library, picking up the books for their respective classes, blending out their surroundings, when suddenly they go for the same book and their fingers touch! a bit sappy but i had a lot of fun drawing it.
if i had had more time, I'd have shown them sharing the book and getting to know each other in the process as well but alas, that will have to wait for another time.
For now, I hope you like what I've drawn you ♡

Summary
There it was, that thing Qifrey did, where he offered a piece of himself wrapped in observation about someone else, like a gift hidden inside a gift, and you had to decide whether to unwrap the second layer or pretend you had only received the first. Olruggio had spent half his life learning to read these offerings and in doing so he had become the foremost scholar of a language spoken by exactly one person in all the world.
"I'm stubborn because someone has to be," he said. "You'd float away on your own mysteries if no one kept you tethered."
"Perhaps." The maddingly sad smile again. "Perhaps that's so."
In which Olruggio brings tea to Qifrey's study on a damp evening and finds him working in the dark again, the staff out and the fire dying.

Oruggio can only stare at him, hesitating. If he could, he’d take him in his arms and tell him everything will be alright but it’s not enough, it’s nothing. He would only comfort himself.
“Can I stay here for a bit?” Qifrey startles him with the question, his voice moving in the air like the sound of wind through the leaves of a silvertree. Why does it sound like the most difficult request he’s ever made? “You can ignore me and go back to sleep and I will just-”
