    Summary

“I don’t know,” says Simon. “I don’t even know where we’re going, they won’t tell me.” He buries his face in his knees and arms again, and Grace hears something that sounds suspiciously like a sob. Maybe Simon’s eyeballs were sweating too.

“You have to promise you’ll come back,” Grace demands, his own lower lip trembling. "Pinky promise!" He jabs his pinky into Simon’s cheek and pokes him with it until Simon looks up.

Simon’s eyes are red-rimmed, but Grace’s glad that he’s managed to surprise just the tiniest smile from him. “I’m not pinky promising, that shit’s for babies,” he says, eyeing Grace’s extended pinky with mock disdain.

“Then how am I supposed to know you’ll keep your promise?” Grace shoots back.

“We gotta seal the deal with something else,” Simon says seriously.

Adorable childhood-besties-to-lifelong-besties with a happy ending. We love a good happy ending after the angst

Aroace Grace. Everything about this is simply superb. From the for at word to the last and everything in between. The last three paragraphs have me vibrating with conviction. What’s the feeling of knowing something in your bones and finding a piece of media that expresses it more perfectly than you ever could? Need word.

    Summary

Mister Wizard won’t meet his eyes.

And—honestly, Max thinks that might be a bit unfair. Like—sure, he messed up. What else is new?

Or, Max Blunder was always going to be a screw-up. It was his destiny since birth—even his name set the precedent for the rest of his life. He had made his peace with that, after so long.

So why does it hurt so much when he makes this mistake?

The case of Hermitcraft v. Goodtimes, McGrian's H.C. (Season 10), Bdubs' Court of Law, held at a reasonable time with reasonable, calm-minded players who certainly do not already have a verdict in mind on account of what happened to the shopping district.

The court calls GoodTimesWithScar to the stand.

In tears, this is too funny. Legit can’t tell where canon ends and the fic begins. Did the author invent a hc10 conflict for the fic or did I miss a whole cow-related event in the middle of the season??? The answer is unknowable

    Summary

The sky is empty of eyes.
That’s not something the others would notice, and Grian can’t see the difference, either, not anymore. It’s something he feels instead, as keenly as the absence of wings, the oppressive looming presences missing from the corners of his mind. The Watchers are gone.

The Watchers have been defeated. Grian has been defeated.
With his powers gone and his betrayal revealed to everyone, he’s been sent to a new world for… hang on, this isn’t a death game. What is it the Listeners want from them?
And why won’t Scar just leave him alone?

What the hell. How could you just drop this and expect me to be normal about it. This is slice of life in the way cutting a gash into a still-bloody hunk of meat is a slice of life, and I love it for that.

This captures the core feel of the desert better than anything I’ve read. When the miasma of toxic watcher lore coalesces in my mind, this is the essence of that nebulous cloud of feeling. I love this from the soaring heights of agony to the pits of despair to all the mundane spaces in between
