Katsuki doesn’t move.
Doesn’t look up.
Doesn’t ask what the fuck are you talking about, even though his heart spikes like he’s just been yanked from a dream.
He just keeps eating his protein bar like nothing’s changed.
Like the floor hasn’t shifted a little under his feet.
“Good for them,” Mina says cheerfully. “I mean, it was obvious she liked him. Kinda surprised he finally grew the nerve.”
Katsuki bites down harder than necessary, the wrapper crinkling in his fist.

Katsuki doesn’t mean to overhear.
He’s just passing the common room on his way to the kitchen, a protein bar in one hand and a scowl ready for whoever left the fridge open again, when he catches Midoriya’s voice.
“I mean,” Deku says, laughing nervously, “it’s not like anyone would ask me. I’ll probably just skip it.”
And Katsuki—already halfway past the doorway—freezes.
What the fuck did he just hear?
He peeks around the corner, just enough to see Izuku sitting on the couch, hunched over a history textbook with Iida and Uraraka beside him. He's smiling like it's not a big deal, like his words aren’t absolutely insane.
“Are you serious?” Uraraka asks, frowning. “You’d skip prom?”
Izuku shrugs. “I mean… I’m not exactly prom material.”
Katsuki almost storms in right then and there to scream that that’s the dumbest shit he’s ever heard, but he doesn’t.
He backs away, slow and quiet.
Because now he has a plan.

“You two both think that Mike should be the top,” Marius tells him, and Will slowly nods along. “Dunno why, he has crazy bottom energy. But maybe that’s just, like, stereotypes messing with your brains. He’s taller, yeah, but that doesn’t matter.”
Will blinked at him once, twice, his brain too long to process.
Marius claps him on the shoulder, a bright grin on his face. “Just top, dude,” He says, as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. “That’ll probably help a ton.”
