Like a part of himself gets through that one organ that Feiran sees as the core of one’s emotions—after all, his heartbeat climbs whenever he’s under pressure, or when he thinks about killing his father, or when Yao approaches him, so he knows that’s where the most sincere part of his soul lies. His brain, meanwhile, is filled with thoughts that he’d like to get rid of. So the heart it is. The safe, the significant option.
