Summary
After narrowly escaping the Demon World, an injured and weakened Vergil finds himself with a whole new set of problems when he discovers a boy he cannot deny is his son. Trying to hide from any demons that might be pursuing him while also figuring out how to raise a child with issues of his own, Vergil knows he's in way over his head.
But Nero is his son and his responsibility. Learning to live with each other may not be easy, but Vergil is determined to make it work. He's never shied away from a challenge, and he refuses to let fatherhood be the one he fails at- especially when Vergil knows better than anyone the horrible fate that lies before a child with no one to protect him.

Summary
This is about as close as Vergil comes to apologetic, his guilt resembling rage in a way that only trauma can teach you.
It’s far too early for something so heavy, however. And so he simply diverts to:
“The ceiling fan in the bedroom clicks, by the way. I’m sure you’ve noticed it. If it isn’t fixed by tomorrow evening I’m going to break it and leave the pieces on Dante’s bed for him to deal with.”
He watches the confusion dart across the other man’s face, clearly having braced himself for something worse— something more, something that could be added to the list of things that eat him up inside in the quiet moments of the morning.
“ — I’ll take care of it.” Vergil says, sounding almost dazed and V nods in return.
“Thank you.”

Readjusting to living outside of Vergil's subconscious means readjusting to sleep and the nightmares that come with it. But luckily there's nothing like a really, really bad day to put those nightmares in perspective.

After several return visits, Ezreal has become a welcome visitor in the village of assassins as Kayn's personal guest, and now there's something that Kayn wants more than anything — to hear Ezreal call him Shieda.
