The boy looked up at Shane, seemingly interested to see where exactly this was going.
"Not every gay person has intense Catholic guilt," Shane was sweating bullets, hoping desperately that his joke would land. People didn't always think he was funny.
The boy's beautiful face cracked into a smile, and he raised his necklace. It has some kind of cross on it, Shane wasn't familiar, but it looked Catholic of some kind.
"If it feels that good, how could you be sorry for it?"
Or, Shane ends up on a train to nowhere in particular. He meets an intriguing young man and decides to shoot his shot.
