Summary
Crocodile had hoped a Warlord position would open up a world of possibilities for wealth, fame, power, etc. Instead, it introduces him to one Donquixote Rocinante, the Marine captain now responsible for keeping Crocodile in line. Except Rocinante turns out to be far more of an enigma than Crocodile could have expected. A lot of the time being a pirate meant going with the flow. There was a sort of freedom from letting the currents of the ocean guide one wherever they needed to go. The ease with which one could get swept up into it all gave those a taste of all that they desired. So really, Roronoa Zoro should have suspected even his feelings would be a lot like treading water. Because apparently water was more than just alive, it had a heart.
