To Uryū's surprise, Chad makes another appearance at his house over the weekend. “Chad,” he greets, aiming for nonchalance with the precision of a boomerang which returns to hit him in the face. “Good to see you.”
“Yeah. Sorry for just stopping by, but . . . ”
“There’s a rip in your shirt.”
Chad nods. “And I was in the area.”
“In the area,” repeats Uryū, squinting. A blob of orange peeks around the corner of the adjacent street. Perhaps two blobs. “Is that Ichigo over there? And . . . Orihime?”
Without looking, Chad steps into Uryū’s line of sight, a veritable wall. “No,” he says. “Could you fix my shirt?”
