“Oh yeah?” Itadori said, not quite sure where this was going.
“Yeah. She was cursed. Fell into a coma about a year ago.” He continued a bit awkwardly, still looking down at his hands. “I miss her a lot. Everyone keeps telling me it’ll be okay. That she’s still alive, but um, I just- I know what you’re going through. So, yeah” he finished lamely, glancing up at Itadori’s face.
“Oh, I’m sorry”
“Don’t be”
Megumi looked down at his hands again.
Why would he tell Itadori that?

Summary
The silence drags for so long that Megumi’s not sure if it’s seconds that have passed, or minutes, or hours.
“Does it help?” he finally asks.
Yuuji hesitates before answering; his gaze flicks to the jacket, dark with guilt, then back to Megumi’s face, searching for judgment and finding only quiet permission. He lets out a shaky exhale and gives a tiny, almost imperceptible nod. “Sometimes,” he whispers.
It’s the most honest thing he’s said all night.

Summary
“What happened?!” Itadori exclaims, frantically pulling Megumi up from the ground and into his arms. The motion only makes the world spin above him as he tries to ignore the pounding ache in his head.
“Uh, I think I got hit?” Megumi responds without grace.
“Well, no shit.” Itadori has the audacity to roll his eyes at him, ever tactless. “God, you look like you’ve been hit by a car!”
“That curse’s arm sure weighed like a car…”
Dragging his eyes all over Megumi to take note of all his injuries, Itadori bites his lip in worry. In his prior panic, Itadori seemingly hadn’t noticed the tacky warmth on his hands when he had made contact with Megumi, or the large gash in his side opposite to him, but now he gets a thorough look and his eyes widen in shock.
“Shit, shit, shit, shit– Fushiguro, you’re bleeding!”
Megumi coughs, blood spilling from his lips. “Yeah, people tend to do that,” he says, deliriously.
