Ryland Grace woke with a start, opening his eyes before quickly squeezing them shut against the bright light of the room. His head was tipped back, the top pressing back into a soft surface. Turning his face to the side, away from the direct view of the light, he gave a few cautious blinks until his eyes adjusted. After a moment, he carefully looked up, rolling his head into an upright position to look around the room.
It featured two rows of reclined leather chairs, the back row elevated slightly above the front. The right arm of each chair featured a few buttons on a small keypad. In each seat there was a member of the Project Hail Mary research and mission team. Most of the members were blinking awake like he was, although some were still unconscious.or

Summary
Dr Captain Ryland Grace returns to an Earth that had long designated him “history”; 58 years old, and with a body that ached in vicious revenge, Grace wanted to take Rocky and Adrian through the wonders of Planet Earth before his time came.
Rocky and Adrian would very much like it if Grace stopped referencing his mortality, and are finding Earth about as peculiar and spectacular as the man the planet gave them.
Earth is pleasantly surprised to see their intergalactic neighbours at their doorstep, and would very much like to confiscate Grace from Rocky for scientific study, because how the fuck was he still alive.

Summary
Remember when Morgana hired a 14-year-old (Daegal was his name) to lure Merlin into a ditch for her to poison him? And then the kid has a change of heart and helps Merlin and dies at the end of the episode? All this while the guy who held Morgana and Aithusa captive is chilling at a feast with Arthur?
What if Daegal decided to help Merlin by finding Arthur? What if that evil dignitary died instead?Or: Percival has one (1) thought, Morgana and Gwen are complicated, Gaius has a help wanted sign in the window, and Arthur is so glad he knows about at least two plants.

Faking an accent was still easier than faking a whole entire personality, though. Dennis Whitaker was soft spoken, anxious all the time, he made himself look small. Vladimir Dracula, on the other hand? The last time he made himself look small was when he was a twelve year old kid.
OR: Dennis Whitaker is a vampire, and his real name is Vladimir Dracula. He's moved from the UK, became a doctor and now works at PTMC. Everything is just fine, no one suspects a thing. But of course it all goes to shit, because of one small trick and his roommate walking into his room when she shouldn't. Oh, and apparently most of his coworkers are werewolves. Awesome.
