“It was a kid,” Yagi gasped out. He had his hand balled up into a fist and the fist pressed to his lips, as if to remind himself that he could not start screaming. “Or. Young person, maybe 20. Homeless, I think. Activated their Quirk on reflex and then ran. The kids—” Here, he pressed his fist harder to his mouth, sucked in a wheezing breath, as if the air itself was pushing down something with physical weight. “The kids—”
“Scattered immediately,” Aizawa finished for him, and Yagi managed a nod.
Yagi’s eyes were so dilated that the blue was almost invisible. He shook violently. He looked like a scarecrow in a windstorm.
Someone activated a Fear-Inducer Quirk so powerful that it reduced All Might to this— of course Aizawa’s class had bolted.

Summary
They’re burn scars, he thinks, just as the stranger begins to speak.
“Aw,” he drawls, and something about the low timbre, almost purr of his voice does things to Hawks that he doesn’t understand. His cheeks flush. He’s glad that his wings aren’t visible; they’re doing that embarrassing poofy thing he had vowed never to show another living soul again. “Does the little birdie see something shiny that he likes?”
Hawks has the last primary he had kept sharpened and in his hand within seconds, but the stranger vanishes.
“Over here, darling,” that same voice drawls lazily from behind him.
Hawks swivels around. Again, he’s met with empty space.
The man laughs, the sound coming from above him. “Birdie ain’t so fast when he doesn’t have all his feathers, huh.”
Hawks looks up.
Hawks learns that if you laugh at Death in the face too many times, he gets annoyed and comes early for you.
Good for Hawks though. Death is just his type.

Summary
