Penelope was worried. Following his return to Ithaca, Odysseus had his hands full getting his kingdom into order. The culling of Penelope’s suitors, tearful reunions, and the murder of Eupeithes were merely the beginning of everything in store for her extraordinary husband.
He was handling it all wonderfully, but she could see how his exhaustion weighed on him. She ought to sit him down for a proper meal. He might be too exhausted for proper manners, spilling wine and honey on himself that she could then clean off.
If she found her own pleasure in taking care of his body, well.
What was the harm in that?

It all started with a rubber duck. A horrible, disgusting creation that was tenderly crafted to look just like Alastor. Lucifer’s caught a case of feelings, Alastor’s caught a case of being a shitty asshole that likes to give false hope out to short kings for the bit. Alastor didn’t expect to start caring about Lucifer as a friend. Now Alastor has to figure out how to extract himself from this catastrophic mess he caused and Lucifer has to figure out how to get over his wife leaving him. Somehow this is all Angel Dust’s fault.

Nine years into the war, Penelope receives word of Palamedes' death, and knows it was through Odysseus's actions.
That knowledge strikes a fire within, built on her desperate longing, and she cannot help but imagine what she would do if her husband were returned to her, with this news fresh from his lips...
If only he were really there with her, finally. To hold their son and be the father he hardly got the chance to be. She always wished for him, wanted him, every moment of the day — even during the shameful times when the agony of waiting made her angry with him — and that want rose in her now like the tide.
Powerful, inevitable, and all-consuming.
It anchored to her desires, her wildest hope — if he were here now, oh the things she would do with him — and it spun glorious thoughts that could not be ignored.
What would she do with him, if he were here? Knowing this. Having learned what he did.
Meanwhile, in the war-camps outside Troy's walls, Odysseus wishes for Penelope in turn, and wonders about her own thoughts regarding his actions toward Palamedes...and how she would greet him when she knew.
