And feathers. Growing out of his cheeks, intertwining with golden hair, eventually shifting into wings – huge, probably bigger than Wilbur himself, stretched behind his back like a dark, gleaming cloak.
And claws. Long, almost black fingers tipped with sharp talons, spilling from under green sleeves – fancy ones, with beautiful embroidery, shining like gold in the sun.
The clothes seem more fit for a noble man, rather than a monster.
A monster, staring at something behind Wilbur's shoulder with big, piercing blue eyes.
Tommy, face tucked away against Wilbur's chest, sniffs.
The monster digs his claws further into the branch he's sat on, leaning forward as if to get a better look at something behind Wilbur's back.

Wilbur rolls his eyes. “I’m just patching you up out of some misplaced sense of guilt or nostalgia or whatever; after this, you can try and arrest me again as much as you want-”
“Nostalgia?” Tommy interrupts. He squints at the figure, all confusing tangents and cynical jokes, the bird still perched on his head. “What, do I know you or something?”
Wilbur’s face darkens. He reaches out a hand, rubbing absently at a long slash going through his trench coat, a tear in the seams of it all. Tommy stills.
“No,” the villain finally mutters with a brittle laugh. “No, you don’t.”
…Or: Superhero AU in which Wilbur, upon waking up in an alternate universe, accidentally becomes a villain. Maybe not a very good one, though - he remains insanely, outrageously protective over the very heroes (and vigilante) hunting him down.

"People often ask me about the writing process of Good Omens. Terry and I have always given humorous responses, but I think it's time for me to reveal the truth. I still remember that poor radio host we publicly snickered at for thinking Good Omens was not a work of fiction.
The thing is, he was on the right track, or at least closer to it than we let on. But in those days, we were trying to keep a low profile, since the aborted apocalypse was too recent then. The jokes were too soon."
(In one interview, Gaiman mentions that the character of Crowley had originally been "more shy and diffident." Aternately Titled: Please Don't Expose Me Like This, Mr. Gaiman.)

Summary
Written for the Good Omens kink meme.
Prompt: Heaven manage to convince Aziraphale that Crowley has never loved him. He was only ever trying to make him fall. They present him with some kind of false evidence to this - maybe a recorded conversation where Crowley admits it, that they've managed to fake somehow?
Aziraphale is heartbroken - and furious.
He goes home to his unsuspecting demon - and proceeds to violently attack him. Crowley is too stunned and hurt and completely unprepared to defend himself. Aziraphale is all righteous(?) rage and devastation and vents it ALL on Crowley.
When it's done, Crowley's badly hurt - physically and emotionally - and Heaven admits what they've done, laughing about it.
"Mission accomplished - he'll never want anything more to do with you now."
Aziraphale tends to Crowley's injuries, so apologetic, so gentle.
Crowley is quiet and subdued and in tears, so very hurt.
You choose if he's able to forgive Aziraphale, or if it's all over between them.

Crowley shifted the phone to his other ear. “Yeah. Yeah, that sounds great, angel. See you then.” Say it, say it, say it... “I love you.”
There was a pause, which Crowley’s heart decided to fill by slamming against the rest of his organs.
“Crowley,” Aziraphale gasped. “Did you just say...?”
(Crowley tells Aziraphale, over the phone, that he loves him. Then he panics and tries to claim that it was just force of habit from his saying it to his boyfriend. At which point he's stuck with a made-up boyfriend. Probably there's no way out of this predicament.)

It’s the 16th of December, and Mr. Stark will be in a shitty mood.
Tony curls more firmly around himself, absently rubbing at an old bruise, twistedly enjoying the persistent ache. He feels another pair of eyes on him and turns slowly to acknowledge Clint Barton’s pale blue gaze. He considers sticking his middle finger out, but then again he doesn’t want to get on the wrong side of Clint and his gang. Not just because Steve and Thor, buff and blonde honchos, are more than capable of making him miserable (anyone on their team could, really, even - no, especially the redhead Natasha), but also because he has the most embarrassing friend crush on all of them.
He’s not ungrateful, he tries not to be, he has Matt and Ezekiel and he loves them, he really does. But he can’t help daydreaming about what it’d be like to have a group as close-knit as theirs; attending sleepovers twice a month at Natasha’s place, waking up to Clint’s prank calls, sciencing with Bruce, eating Steve’s homemade breakfasts, cleaning up Thor’s messes while laughing, going for study sessions every other day. Not exactly a crush, but close enough.
