Summary
“You don’t have to worry about hurting me, Kara,” Lena said, keeping her expression neutral. “I completely understand if you don’t feel the same way.”
“You don’t understand. That’s not what I’m trying to-”
But Lena was on a roll now, determined to pre-empt Kara’s rejection so that she wouldn’t actually need to say the words. “I promise that I won’t let my own feelings affect our relationship. Your friendship is so important to me, I would never-”
“I’m Supergirl,” Kara blurted out. It was the only thing she could have possibly said to stop the momentum of Lena’s mentally-prepared speech in its tracks.
Lena sputtered, not quite certain she’d heard right. Still in the process of attempting to recover her train of thought, she simply responded, “What?”
------------------------------

Summary
Francesca expected the party Eloise dragged her to to be too loud, and too full of lingering stares from men.
She didn't expect, however, to become so enraptured by a woman."Oh! Yes. I am- alright, that is, yes." Francesca managed as she felt a flush begin to paint her cheeks as that famed smile began to creep its way back onto the other woman's face.
"I don't think I've seen you around before," the woman said with a tilt of her head. "I surely would have remembered if I had."
