Summary
Jeon Jeongguk is dead. At only 29-years-old, he finds himself waking up in the afterlife after a very sudden end. It’s the Grim Reaper’s domain, and the Reaper is bored. He strikes a deal to return Jeongguk to the world of the living, but there’s a catch: Jeongguk must play the Reaper’s love game in which the challenge is to woo Park Jimin. “I can’t help but notice you didn’t deny the mention of your seemingly unrequited, still ongoing, if I may say, tiresome love affair with a certain modern and contemporary dance professor? Are you finally admitting to it, Mr. Jeon?”

The annual Halloween dance is tomorrow and Jungkook gets wind that his best friend, long-time crush, and coworker, Jimin, has filled out a matchmaking questionnaire.
Of course Jungkook has to get a hold of it and compare himself to Jimin's ideal lover. Nothing could possibly go wrong!

“So, I have a plan,” Jimin said once they had settled into the same barbecue restaurant as yesterday.
“Does it involve me?” Jungkook asked carefully.
“You are the most integral part of it.”
“I’m the worm?”
Jimin nodded. “You are the worm.”
“Any chance of not being the worm?”
Jimin’s expression morphed into a thoughtful one. ”No.”
”Ah, okay.”
Or, Jungkook's life is predictable, he trusts his routine, but it all goes out of the window when one day the Aquarium celebrity, otter trainer Park Jimin hides underneath Jungkook's desk and asks for his help.

Jimin Park is an editor at Wings Books. He has a good life and great friends and a zillion ways to manage stress. There are some stresses, though, that you can't plan for. When it feels like suddenly all of the rugs are being pulled from under him, he's a bit lost and has to figure out how to cope. Life goes from being a neatly planned event to a minefield. Luckily, he works with one children's author who is absolutely perfect in every way and could never do anything to make Jimin's life difficult: Jungkook Jeon.
His life becomes even more tangled and harrowing when he's assigned to work with a new author who is demanding and rude. (But it's still funny.)

Summary

Jimin considered for a moment that the guy could be lying, maybe hiding something valuable and that was why he looked so panicked. But now, taking all the not-too-subtle signs, he completely dismisses the idea.
Greasy unkempt hair. Hollow cheeks, dark circles under eyes. Ashen, dirty skin. Visible bruises, an unhealed scar on the right arm. The sprained ankle. A shabby mattress in the corner, a thin ragged blanket on top. No pillow.
It’s pretty clear this guy has been kept here for who knows how long.
Jimin knows he shouldn’t care. The guy is nothing to him. Jimin is being stupid again. But he also knows it’s too late already. He is already there.

Jeongguk’s eyes search the room to mirror the way his mind searches for a plausible answer, gaze landing on the bright vermillion color of Jimin’s shirt, long blond hair lit up almost as much as the smile on his plump lips.
