Summary
Popular Football Star Yang is in the same friend group with Blake, but they don't really interact with each other on an exclusive level. Until one fateful conversation leads to a stupid bet, and suddenly Yang is spending a bunch of time with Blake to get Blake together with her crush, Sun. But all that time spent together means they really start to get to know one another, and in the end, they discover something for themselves, and Yang spectacularly fails the bet. Yang doesn't seem to really mind her loss though.

“I need a favor,” Blake says, and if Yang hadn’t heard that one before.
“What makes you think you can ask me for favors?” Then she smiles, that oh-so-innocent smile she plasters on for teachers, and apparently people who she needs favors from.
“Be my girlfriend.”
Yang short-circuits for a second, “Sorry, what?” she croaks out, because maybe she heard Blake wrong.
“Be my girlfriend," she pauses, rewording, "Fake girlfriend.”
“Fake… girlfriend?”
or
blake asks yang to be her fake girlfriend as a favor; old feelings begin to rise up, & maybe they realize that leaving things in the past was not as smart as they once thought.
