It's been a week since the competition, it feels like everything has changed and yet it feels all the same.
That is until Jake gets a call from Drew who'd been gone off of the face of reality for that entire week. Drew apologizes and confesses to have been diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder and asks to meet up with Jake and make up. Struggling to deal with his new diagnoses, Jake's new friends and just existing in general, Drew has a hard time that results in him harming himself.
Now Jake has to deal with trying to mediate between his two friend groups again and with that try to make sure Drew ends up okay, with so many secrets he's got to keep The Music Club catch on and he's got to take care of Milo on top of everything else.
But Drew's genuine smile that he hasn't seen since freshman year might be worth it all.

Only one month into staying at the Wheelers', Jonathan can't help but feel like he's overstayed his welcome. With him and Nancy having problems, each day in the house feels more and more like divine punishment for being an absolute jackass.
Steve has been coping, cycling through jobs with Robin that he can't seem to keep. Despite not having to worry about the end of the world anymore, he can't bring himself to move on. The problem is, everyone else has.
When Jonathan reaches out to Steve for a favor, they end up having exactly what the other needs.

Months later after the band competition, at some point after Jake and Drew’s fight, they simply realized they couldn’t truly end their friendship so easily, so they agreed to talk and made things up between them. Then at one moment, everything went back to normal, like nothing happened.
Except that Jake's now also good friends with the music club and he hangs out with them even more than with him, and Drew just can’t understand.
What’s up with the music club, and why does Jake prefer their company over theirs?
“You know what? I’m done reaching out on Jake for answers. I’m just going to have to find out for myself.” Drew said, determined.
“And how exactly are you gonna do that?” Henry asked.
“I’m going to audition for that goddamn music club.”
“Audition for- WHAT!?”
Maybe as he enters the music club, Drew shows a side of himself that no one ever saw before, and a vow that he made for himself long ago, is something he didn’t end up keeping.
Who knows his life would take a turn?
