Summary
San has gotten by with managing to convince himself that Jung Wooyoung just wouldn’t bother to drop one of his infamous, indirect song covers about him; whether that’s because he thinks that Wooyoung would have probably moved on to a bunch of other people after him anyway, or because of the fact that the two of them were secret enough that even Yeosang doesn’t know about it to this day, it helps San sleep better at night, free from worries about Wooyoung's petty but hard-hitting wrath.
That is, of course, until San wakes up on the morning of his birthday, and sees the last thing that he expected on the screen of his phone:

Wooyoung had swallowed hard, glancing back down at the orders to pack his things to switch units.
“It’s not like that, Youngie,” Soobin had been quick to say, clearly seeing the tears building. “We don’t want to let you go.”
“But I have to.”
Neither of them had denied that, which stung more than Wooyoung cared to admit.
_Knight Wooyoung is reassigned units after it becomes clear not everyone suffers debilitating joint pain. Unit 1117 is for rejects and hopeless cases; Wooyoung isn't going to spend any more time there than necessary. He just wants to get better and get back to his unit.
If only things were that simple.
