Loved this fic. Such a comfort and joy to read. Immediately screamed when I finished it because there isn't a sequel. Jeff Carter isn't the step dad, he's the dad who stepped up. Obsessed.

Fuck it, Carts has texted, offer still open?
Mike swallows. Door’s unlocked.
There’s no response, but a few hours later, there’s an email in Mike’s inbox with the itinerary for a flight from LA in two days. No return trip.
Or,
Jeff's reaction to a life crisis is still a good sulk and Mike would still rather be a hermit at his lake with no one but Jeff and his dog, but they aren't the same people they were ten years ago. And maybe that's a good thing.

Summary
Anakin is aware that he is blushing, so he says nothing and merely looks at his Master intently, letting his blood-warm skin say what he can’t possibly utter aloud. Obi-Wan holds his gaze for a moment then his eyes cut to the side. “I see.” He intones, a small blush of his own darkening the skin visible above his beard. “I assume there was a, ahem, biological element to your lesson yesterday then.”
“Yes, Master. It related to the need for gender neutral greetings.”
“Yes, I’m sure it did.” Obi-Wan sighs and picks up his cup again, taking a contemplative sip. “I won’t embarrass us both by making you ask the question out loud, Padawan, but for the sake of your curiosity; yes, I am capable of bearing children and have all the, um, parts to make that happen.”
There’s a ringing in Anakin’s ears. He knew that yesterday’s lesson, and the furtive reading he’d done in his bedroom last night (and the rabbithole of holoporn his research had taken him down), had already basically confirmed for him what his Master must have going on between his legs, but to hear him say it out loud? Stars, this was going to unravel him.
Aka Anakin discovers something about Obi-Wan.

Summary
The ancient Galactic Republic is dying slowly—an ugly death of corruption, sprawl, and decay—with the sin of slavery hanging over its every triumph. The beleaguered Jedi Knights are too few to adequately patrol and police the entire Republic, and are faced with complacency and greed at every turn. Born into a crumbling and stagnant galaxy, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker are faced with the greatest challenge of all: themselves.
Obi-Wan likes rules and control. When the galaxy around him stops playing by the rules, what is a Jedi to do? Anakin needs rules and restraint. When the galaxy around him conspires to set him loose, what is his Master to do? Falling slowly or falling fast, falling through lust or falling through wrath—it all leads to delusion and moral decay. What can be born from the ashes?
Or, how Obi-Wan and Anakin fell to the dark side, obtained their revenge, and saved the galaxy in the process.

Summary
“Hang on in there a little longer, Charlie.” McCullum said to the air. He knew what he had to do. Knew exactly how he could help Charlie, or at least, knew someone who could. He huffed out a breath, exhaustion and frustration marred his lined brow into something that resembled anger, but it was nothing like that at all.
The scar at his throat itched, but McCullum refused to reach up and scratch it.
It was time, he knew, to visit that lingering shade of grey.
*
It has been almost a year, perhaps longer, since Geoffrey McCullum, commander of the Guard of Priwen had seen the leech that let him live. Almost a year since he had to face those thoughts and that reality, and the niggling sensation that he desperately wanted to leave well alone. It was wrong on so many levels. The things that he wanted. The dreams he was having. He wanted to deny it. Deny it all. Continued to deny it all.
But, with the threat to the Guard too great, he had to do something. He couldn't risk it. Couldn't risk them, even if that meant facing some difficult, impossible, truths. He was not more important than the Guard. And he needed to do something to stop his men from being turned into monsters.

As someone with a very complicated family, I find it so easy to identify with Finarfin and all his shock, disbelief, and expectation that anything good like this can't possibly last. This is a fantastic story about dads who are actually good at being dads, and siblings who had to grow past their trauma to become so.

Jason Todd returns to Gotham with a detailed plan for Batman, the Joker, and the new Robin he’s seen pictures of in the papers. There’s just one tiny problem with his plan: Batman is missing. Also the Joker is missing. And nobody has seen Robin in a while.
In unrelated news, there are two(?) teen vigilantes patrolling the streets of Gotham. Someone should probably do something about that.

Jason was going to find answers, and when he did, he was going to beat the shit out of someone. Who it was going to be depended on what the fuck, exactly, was going on.
