Chan’s suddenly thankful he chose not to look away from the atmosphere, a tugging feel in his chest as his face heats up, the blush of a darkening pink on his cheeks no longer caused just by the rose tinge above.
Hesitation pulls his eyelids shut, but doesn’t stop his bottom lip from trembling as he works his way in an attempt to pretend to fall asleep until he truly does. He feels himself slowly beginning to drift off, and though he hears Seungkwan’s voice calling out to him again, a slightly louder effort at grabbing his attention, he keeps his eyes glued shut, instead focusing on the warmth of the beaming sun on his face.
“Did you hear me?” There’s a slight stutter when Seungkwan asks, and Chan almost feels bad when the older boy sighs longingly after his lack of response.
It takes a few moments of silence before he opens his right eye slightly to see Seungkwan moving to rest on his elbows, a fine layer of gloss coating his once relaxed eyes, a slight contrast to the sweet but small smile he still adorns.
