“Jaemin scrutinizes him for a long time. 'You could run away with me,' he finally says, quiet but sure. 'That was always my plan. Get the drive and get the hell out.'
Jeno’s breath hitches. 'You would let me come with you?' It seems like an impossibly huge leap of faith for Jaemin – Jeno isn’t sure he’s earned it, especially considering the fact that he’s currently holding Jaemin at gunpoint.
Jaemin shrugs, his lips curling into a smirk as he gives Jeno an obvious once-over. 'Why not? I wouldn’t mind having some eye candy and a little extra muscle along for the ride.'
'Jaemin,' Jeno says tersely, trying to ignore the flare of heat that curls in his stomach. 'I’m serious.'
'So am I,' Jaemin says, sobering up. 'You’ve had plenty of chances to carry out your mission. You could’ve shot me the second I let you have your gun back. You could shoot me right now.' He cocks his head. 'So, why haven’t you done it?'”
While undercover at BestSide Corporation, I.D.O.L. agent Jeno Lee is given a straightforward mission: kill Jaemin Na. He makes a different call.
