Holy smokes. This is a different kind of story for sure. I love Rodney and John, and this very sexy but unusual morning ritual.
I'm going to say that the user name and content make it a very high probability that this was written by a man. Women write the vast majority of fanfic and in the main it's great. Sometimes it's mind blowing how great it is. I don't know how a woman would writers from this perspective though. This is a,man's kind of feeling.
That's not to say it can't be done for sure but I'm certain women have very specific things relating to their anatomy that men just wouldn't think of or feel and this is probably something like that.
Guys, well. Sometimes it's a real thing.

really great story. Low on the negative aspects of slash. No horror, no violence, just some wonderful relationship evolution with Stiles and Derek. Characterization is sweet, everyone in the story has value and treat one another with respect. This is seriously affirming. I loved it.
In a fabulous bonus, when they get to the sex scenes they don't even do anything strange or incorrect. While knotting is there, the details aren't wrong as it were. No one puts their hands in incorrect positions or do anything completely implausible. It's a personal annoyance but it's 2024 (or recent years at least) and making ignorant sex scenes is not acceptable to me.
A huge, huge plus is the incredible podfic of this story. PhenomenalAsterisk does an amazing podfic with the reading, the inflections and all the subtle nuances that make it a singular work of merit. There are podfics I love because of the story or the content and pairing but this one is the whole nine yards. It's emotionally satisfying, technically perfect and utterly enjoyable. I can't recommend this enough.
