“The man simply nodded as he looked around the comforting area with his one eye, suddenly catching a brightly colored mural on the wall. “And who is that?”
Tempest paused in confusion and looked in the same direction as the man, then froze in recognition. On the mural was a blacked out figure standing over a pile of bodies against an eye catching red paint, a gun in their hand and a pair of clipped, bloodied wings on their back. The young man’s face fell for a second, forcing himself to breathe before he replied with a sad smile. “Someone who taught us how to be human.””
Or; Ever since the event at the Towers, Tempest has been working day in day out. The only break he gives himself is on every Sunday to visit a certain human. And yes, it was a human.

“Reach followed Susan to the stairs, before she stopped and held her hands out. “Wait! Let me look inside first!”
“What? Why?”
“Just stay here! I’ll be back!” She yelled and ran up the stairs.
Reach watched her in confusion, sitting on the railing of the stairs to wait as she told him to. He looked around the hub to occupy himself, legs idly swinging back and forth. It was odd; being told what to do by a child that was less than ten, but if it would make her happy, he supposed.
“Okay! You can come up now!” Susan called from the bar. Reach looked up the stairs, still confused as he dropped off from the railing, walking up to the bar.
Right as he walked inside, there was a sudden popping sound and a few yells.”
Or; it’s June 18th, and an interview Tempest and Ironwood found while they were killing the original copy of R.E.A.C.H. says that today is Reach’s birthday. So what’s a good way to celebrate the first birthday of the man who almost sacrificed himself to save your friends and future? Get everyone in on it!

“Reach then quickly put away his gun and started trying to pull away from Ironwood. “Let me go, I need to see if Veronica is telling the truth.”
“Don’t let him go- DO NOT LET HIM GO!” Tempest then started backing away very quickly, his smile turning from hilarity to concern to panic.
Ironwood just smirked and let go of Reach’s shoulders, giving him a small push towards Tempest. “Whoops. My hands slipped.””
Or; While out on a scavenge, Tempest decides to play a prank on Reach. It somehow backfires both perfectly and terribly.

“He was stopped by the wreckage that blocked them inside. He tried to find some way to get around the debris, but the fires were still raging. There was no way he could get past.
But then the blockage started shifting, crashing as if being moved by force. Ironwood stepped back in shock and confusion, watching the fallen pile of debris slowly peel away to reveal what was on the other side.
There stood Reach, his face pale and tired as he grabbed at his arm. His entire form trembled, his knees ready to buckle, and his left hand no longer human.”
