Yelan takes a half-day and goes home for a nap, only to wake with a knife pressed to her throat.
“Darling,” greets Lumine as she hangs above her. Her eyes glint dangerously. “I do think that, perhaps, there may be something that you’re hiding from me.”
Typically, Yelan is careful in her work, but this is her wife. She certainly didn’t expect to see her face in that file, or the titles, kill lists, and other terrible, terrible things that would make a grown man weep. Yelan isn’t sure which hurts more—that her wife is a killer, or that she never noticed. Or worse: that it’s kind of hot.
