“Angel?” Crowley called, dithering on the edge, desperate to dive in and damn the consequences. But he recalled the last time he had felt Heaven’s divinity directed against himself, the last time he had been burned by God’s wrath, and his courage faltered. The portal might have been deactivated but the energy had not yet dissipated completely. “Angel, please! You have to wake up. Please. For me!”There was no response but Crowley could see that Aziraphale’s aura was weak and there were brutal welts across his back: Aziraphale had been flogged.

Summary
Crowley is abducted and tortured by a Count of Hell who wants to know how he became immune to Holy Water--and who rapes Aziraphale in an effort to force a confession. Their escape is fraught with complication. Only after fleeing to Crowley's flat does the full extent of Aziraphale's injuries become clear. That's where their recovery journey begins. Summary
Zuko wakes up the first time it happens to the smell of burning flesh. He at first thinks it’s just a lingering memory, the vestiges of a nightmare he’s had many times, but then he hears the shouts and clanging of metal that accompanies it.
The telltale signs of a fight, right outside his door.
So of course he does the sensible thing and rushes toward the commotion without a second thought, still in his loose bedclothes and bleary-eyed from sleep. He practically falls out of the door, stumbling right into the middle of both the hall and the battle waging within it.
At this point, Zuko's no stranger to attempts on his life. He can handle it.
Or five times Zuko's friends save him from an assassination attempt, and one time they're almost too late.
