Wait.
Draco blinked slowly, but no- the children in front of him didn’t stop fading. He tried holding them tighter, but his hands went through them- they didn’t notice a thing.
Huh…?
When Draco blinked again, he found himself sitting alone, the room devoid of twins and their chocolate.

Fourth Year is going spectacularly to hell.Draco has spent the last three years rewriting fate with the memories he has left, dodging disaster, and keeping Harry Potter alive. Harry comes back from summer looking insufferably attractive, his hair is still a mess, his eyes are way too green, and Draco is having a crisis.
Unfortunately, there’s no time to deal with his burgeoning sexuality because Harry’s name just came flying out of the Goblet of Fire, meaning Draco’s best friend is now stuck in a life-threatening tournament.
Draco is not handling it well.

Draco Malfoy dies during the Battle of Hogwarts… and wakes up in his eleven-year-old body.
But this isn’t a story where he remembers everything and saves the world. His memories? Mostly gone. His brain? Fully regressed. What remains are scattered flashes—He knows there was a war. He knows Voldemort returned. He knows Harry died, and he has to stop it.This is not a grand rewrite of history. It’s a slow, messy, teenage-coming-of-age story with magic, angst, eventual smut and emotional chaos. Think less “fix-it fic,” more “what if Draco had a second chance to figure out who he actually is?”

“They’re wool, actually,” Draco said simply, moving his leg closer to Potter to let him see for himself. The Gryffindor was obviously in distress and maybe even some pain, and if taking it out on Draco right now helped him, Draco would let him. Maybe he really did have a crush on the poor bastard. “I’m sorry.”
“What?” Potter’s voice sounded less venomous now.
“That you got picked,” Draco explained, “I can’t believe they’re making you participate. And I honestly hope you don’t die.”
Potter watched him in confusion, “You don’t think I put my name in?”
Draco laughed and kept looking ahead, “You would rather eat slugs.”

Quicker than he can blink, Flash is grabbed by his collar, flipped, slammed into the lockers, and lifted up off of his feet. Peter Parker is confusing the hell out of him lately. Scaring him, too. Flash makes a pointed effort to soften his expression, smooth the roughness of his voice. He starts again.
"Look, your uncle died. I get it. I'm sorry.”
Peter doesn't look up, not high enough to look into Flash’s eyes, anyway. He numbly processes the words coming out of Flash Thompson's mouth. Something has been off about him lately, but Peter hasn’t found the room to pay much attention, with everything going on in his own life. Especially now. But something wiggles its way through to nestle a tiny corner of softness in his grieving mind. Flash’s face right now, without the arrogance or anger, looks like it did when they were kids. He never knew Flash well, so he never noticed the loss of that, but he is noticing the comfort it brings, having that familiarity back.

He spots the robin on a tree branch maybe thirty feet away, and Tim, grinning, goes to adjust the settings on the binoculars.
It's exactly then that he realizes what's behind the bird.
Because from here, on the third story and at just this angle, there's no treeline to block his view. Behind the little robin singing on its branch, he can see the Wayne family manor, clear as anything, close enough that it almost feels like he could reach out and touch it. One of the windows on the downstairs floor is open, and it's draped with light curtains that float softly in the breeze. A moment later, a different sort of Robin bounds into view, sans mask, grin wide and bright.
Tim flinches back as though burned.
