Sirius has had many bad omens in his life, the family he was born into, the parents, his fiery temperament, his way of not thinking things through, doing stupid shit that ends up him losing his friends, not being enough and getting disowned etcetera etcetera..
So what was one more?
This bad omen though, turned out to be their new muggle studies teacher, who looked a bit too long, got too close for comfort, just something was off about him, at least Sirius could see it.

“Can you stop talking for one fucking minute Sirius?” Remus was no longer focused on the mess that he created. Instead he was focused on Sirius’s desperation. So he turned back to Sirius, the shattered mug still waiting to be repaired. His wand arm was still out though, and that was when Sirius moved.
In one swift movement Sirius grabbed Remus's right arm as he lowered himself down onto his knees. His right knee slamming down onto a shard of the mug. He pointed Remus's wand right at his head and grasped his lover’s wrists with both hands, steadying it. He looks Remus in his eyes, begging.
“Do it, Remus. Fucking do it.”

Peter's eyes were opened widely and Remus just stared.
Sirius froze for a second before his head shot up, his red eyes meeting his friends with an angry expression.
"What are you doing here? We have the rule to not come in when it’s locked!"
"Padfoot. Where did you get those scars?", James quietly asked, his voice shaking.Or; in which Sirius' parents do everything in their power to make their son’s life as horrible as possible while he was home for holidays. He comes back to Hogwarts for his fifth year with both; new physical and mental scars. He hid them, like he always did.
But what would happen if his best friends found out about his family? What if they saw his scars and heard his terrified screams at night after he forgot to renew his silencing charm?
And what would happen if one day, in the middle of their Christmas break, Sirius would show up at James' house, bleeding and shaking, at death’s door, nothing but his wand and a picture with him? -

“Icarus!” Wilbur calls, using his free hand to give the hero an exaggerated wave. He lets out a laugh, stalking forwards to meet the hero halfway. “Man, I've been waiting for you to show up. I’d thought that I had—”
The words die in his throat when the hero stands right in front of him and, rather than socking him in the nose, leans forwards onto his chest.
Wilbur blinks, both aghast and in surprise. His lighter falls from his hand, clattering against the pavement and drowning the both of them in darkness.
“Icarus—?” he begins after a second, bewildered. His arm is still up in the air, reaching for a lighter that isn’t there.
“I know you,” Icarus murmurs suddenly, voice quiet. Wilbur doesn’t like the way his voice sounds. Did he forget to turn on his voice changer? Why does he sound… like that?
or, when the great hero icarus goes missing for a month only to show up in the alleyway by wilbur’s house, claiming that he is the only person that he can remember, wilbur is left to take care of the hero he’d sworn was his greatest enemy.
